I began gardening in 2013, at the age of 22, shortly after losing my mother. After caring for her throughout her illness, I suddenly found myself without reason or direction, and I had all this energy to devote to taking care of something. 

Gardening became a way for me to express my grief, but also a way for me to express my creativity and happiness. The joy I felt from watching something that I had nurtured from a tiny seed grow into a beautiful plant was indescribable. I've been hooked ever since!
